I am ashamed of myself for missing out on going to Pogues gigs, concerts etc. I was a great concert goer, just before the polls, the scene, my brothers travelled all the lands to see some great concerts got to see my top favorate Thin Lizzy and Rory Gallagher many times, we also see some of the greatest bands from small bands to the biggest bands on the planet, during the time the Pogues were on the scene,I was working seven days and seven nights a week after week and for many years, I knew about the Pogues, I knew their music but I never got to see them play live . I recall a time when I asked the artist Jim Fitzpatrick to do some artwork for me, when it was completed I called to home home in Dublin and we chatted about music and things and how I loved Thin Lizzy as a band and was a great admirer of Phil Lynott, Phil had passed away and I was still in a state of disbelieved Jim asked me what I thought of the Pogues and if I had seen them live, I could not give much of proper answer at that time as I had not seen them play live. Later I realise my major mistake, Now when I see recordings of Pogues gigs, I can see the rare reaction of the crowds, there was an instant electricity when Shane and Pogues took to the stage, which is extremely rare happening even the very best gigs. folks were brilliant band, Shane was a rare one, Shane is now resting in eternal peace in heaven with his dear mother, family and friends and cope members passed away before Shane

I don't care that Shane's voice is almost indecipherable (as it is with lots of his vocals). This song is so full of joy and life that it never fails to cheer me up. Kirsty was clearly having a ball. RIP to two singing icons.
